In 2009 Kristin was selected as a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum and actively serves National Geographic’s Pristine Seas, the Smithsonian's Earth Optimism platform, Global Island Partnership, Global Dignity, the Environmental Investigation Agency, the Anacostia Waterfront Trust, the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and the Royal Geographical Society. Kristin earned a public policy degree and documentary film certificate from Duke University and has completed executive programs at Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Oxford.
